My GoHighLevel review, after 4 years inside.
I was a HighLevel Customer Success Manager from August 2022 to August 2026. This review stays with what the plans include, where setup stalls, and who I think the platform suits. I do not invent results.
I'm an independent affiliate. This site isn't run or endorsed by HighLevel.
I'm Hamid Mazumder. From August 2022 to August 2026 I was a Customer Success Manager at HighLevel. In that work I guided 2,500+ businesses and agencies through launch, strategy, go-to-market planning, offer creation and lead generation. I also helped people fix broken setups and decide what to do next. I do not work there now.
I'm an independent affiliate. This site isn't run or endorsed by HighLevel. This review is my opinion, grounded in that job and in the features I am willing to name because they are on the plans I list. It is not a HighLevel press review, and it is not a case study. I am not publishing client results, quotes, or before-and-after numbers. I do not have permission to, and I will not invent them.
If you want the short biography, it is on the about page. If you already know you want the platform and you are choosing the link, skip to the affiliate page.
What I am reviewing
People search for a GoHighLevel review. I will use both names. GoHighLevel and HighLevel are the same platform. HighLevel and GoHighLevel are trademarks of HighLevel, Inc.
The product, as I describe it on this site, is a subscription that puts CRM, funnels and automation in one account. Agencies separate client work with sub-accounts. Starter includes 3. Unlimited and Agency Pro include unlimited sub-accounts. Contacts and users are unlimited on the plans I list. Unlimited adds rebilling at cost and basic API access. Agency Pro adds SaaS Mode, automated sub-accounts, rebilling with markup, and advanced API access.
That is the spine. Snapshots, websites, AI agents and the rest of my bonus list are resources I provide around the account. They are not a secret HighLevel edition. A fair review has to keep those apart. You can buy the subscription without me. You only get my files and my calls through my link.
Where it is strong
One account for the work that usually gets split
The strength I will stand behind is concentration. Leads, pages, pipelines and automation can live together. When those sit in separate tools, follow-up dies in the gap. HighLevel's plans, as I list them, include that core CRM, funnel and automation layer even on Starter. You do not need Agency Pro to have a pipeline.
Sub-accounts, if you serve more than one business
For an agency, the sub-account is the useful boundary. A client's pipelines, users and numbers can sit apart from the next client's. Three sub-accounts on Starter is a real starter cap. Unlimited removes that cap. If the business is 'I deliver this for clients,' that difference matters more than a longer feature grid. I go further on this in the agency guide.
Room to productize, if that is actually your model
Agency Pro's SaaS Mode, automated sub-accounts, and rebilling with markup are there for someone who wants to offer the platform under their own brand. Rebilling at cost on Unlimited is the quieter version: you can pass usage through without the markup tools. I would not call SaaS Mode a strength for a solo coach who wants one calendar. It is a strength for the operator who means to run a platform.
You can start from a system, not a blank page
Snapshots and website starting points matter because a blank account is how people freeze. Through my link you get one niche snapshot on day one, and the wider library after the first paid month. The homepage shows a handful of portfolio layouts so you can see the kind of site those starting points resemble. They are examples of layout, not trophies from client campaigns.
Where it is limited
The account does not set itself up
This is the limit I trust more than any feature complaint. A new account is only the beginning. I watched capable people stall with a paid login because nothing told them what to do on day two. Too many features and no starting point is a real problem, not a slogan. If you want software that is finished when you enter a card, this will feel heavy.
SMS can sit on hold
A2P prep gets missed. Registration takes longer. The first campaign sits on hold. I am not going to quote an average number of days, because I have not published one. I will say that a launch plan which assumes texts send on the first afternoon is a fragile plan. Prepare the opt-in, the policy and the campaign copy. A2PReady is my free tool for that packet. It does not approve you. HighLevel and the carriers still do.
Follow-up stays manual if you leave it manual
Leads can arrive from a form and then sit there. The pipeline stays empty in spirit even when a contact exists, because nobody defined the next step. The platform can automate that. It will not invent the steps for your offer. Someone has to decide what happens after the enquiry. That someone can be you, with the order in my onboarding guide, or it can be a scoped setup you and I agree at the start.
Exports and agents are not finished businesses
UnVault can export a HighLevel AI Studio website into portable files. Backend integrations may need reconnecting. I include that on Unlimited and Agency Pro after the first paid month. It is a useful escape hatch. It is not a promise that a moved site behaves exactly as it did.
The AI agents I include are voice and conversational agents you configure. Two to three arrive in the Day 0 pack. The wider set of 20+ arrives after the first paid month. An agent does not repair a confused offer. I would turn one on after a human follow-up path exists.
I am not HighLevel support
I used to be inside customer success. I am not now. I cannot escalate you as staff, change a bill, or approve a brand registration. Weekly help from me is a group call, plus the Agency Pro kickoff if that is your plan. If you need a vendor who still wears a HighLevel badge, I am the wrong person, and I should say so before you click.
Who it suits
- A business that wants leads, pages and follow-up in one place, and is willing to set the order up.
- An agency that will actually use sub-accounts, client onboarding, and, on Unlimited or Pro, rebilling.
- A SaaS-minded operator who means to use Agency Pro as a platform, not as a badge.
- Someone who wants a 30-day trial and a weekly group call while they build, which is my offer, not a HighLevel default.
Who should pause
- Someone who wants customers promised in the trial. I will not promise that.
- Someone who wants weekly 1-on-1 coaching on Starter. That is not what I include. The private kickoff is Agency Pro, and it is one 60-minute call.
- Someone who needs me to guarantee A2P approval or a trial extension. Both decisions belong to HighLevel.
- Someone who wants a single-purpose tool and feels crowded by a wide platform. The width is the point, and it is also the way people get lost.
How I would decide
I would ignore affiliate pages until I knew the job. If the job is one pipeline for your own business, price Starter and read what HighLevel includes before you read what I include. If the job is many clients, price Unlimited and take the sub-account limit seriously. If the job is a SaaS, price Agency Pro and make sure you want markup rebilling and SaaS Mode, not just a longer bonus list.
Then decide whose link to use. Direct signup is the standard 14-day trial and no pack from me. My link is 30 days, a verified Day 0 setup, and weekly group coaching while you stay active. The choice guide is how I would compare that to any other affiliate, including me.
I keep a recognition screenshot on the homepage from my time inside the company. It is a colleague noting customer-success work. It is not HighLevel endorsing this review or this offer. I am not publishing customer testimonials here. The list stays empty until I have the source and the permission.
Questions I answer on this page
01Who is this GoHighLevel review from?
Hamid Mazumder. I was a HighLevel Customer Success Manager from August 2022 to August 2026 and guided 2,500+ businesses and agencies. I no longer represent HighLevel. I am an independent affiliate.
02Is this review endorsed by HighLevel?
No. This site isn't run or endorsed by HighLevel. HighLevel and GoHighLevel are trademarks of HighLevel, Inc. A recognition note from my time on staff is personal recognition, not an endorsement.
03What is the main strength?
CRM, funnels and automation in one account, with sub-accounts for agencies and a SaaS path on Agency Pro. The limit is that the account still needs a setup order. The software does not choose that order for you.
04What is the main limit?
Setup. A2P registration can hold SMS. Follow-up stays manual if you do not define it. The feature set is wide enough that people freeze. I do not promise earnings, customers, A2P approval, or a trial extension.
05Who should avoid it?
Someone who wants a finished system on day one, a guarantee of leads, or weekly private coaching on the lower plans. Starter is a real product. It is not a done-for-you business.
06Do you earn a commission if I sign up after reading this?
Yes, if you use my link. HighLevel pays me. You do not pay an extra fee. You can also sign up directly and skip my bonuses. I would rather you knew that before the click.
